racism

First of all, i would like to say that, if you are racist, you probably shouldn't be reading this blog, unless you want to get mad and write me hateful (or racist) comments, since i love those so much.

"Racism, why?" is the name of my blog, and you might ask "why racism? why not something more interesting like baseball or dating or traveling?" well, i may write about those things in the future as well as many other things, but this is something that i seriously think needs to be addressed, especially in this generation. Now im sure one form or another of racism has been around ever since adam and eve had lots of children, sometimes its out of jealousy, sometimes out of a feeling of being a better person than someone elese, but whatever the reason, it has been wrong since the first time someone said "i dont like you because you look different". Now to give you a brief insight into one of my opinions of how racism was increased significantly. Before the 1800's people referred to people from different cultures or countries" different races", for example: the "English race" or the "Irish race" but when darwin came out with his new theory, this only solidified the already skewed idea of "different races" here are a few quotes from the famous Charles Darwin:

"At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world. At the same time the anthropomorphous apes, as Professor Schaaffhausen has remarked, will no doubt be exterminated. The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene between man in a more civilized state, as we may hope, even than the Caucasian, and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the Negro or Australian and the gorilla."

When Darwin said this, and things of this nature, he not only was saying that he was a part of a superior race because of his skin color, but he went so far as to put people with darker skin and different cultures below everyone else, not because of ANY sort of real genetic proof, but SIMPLY because they were different. now, here's a few more quotes:

"The enquirer would next come to the important point, whether man tends to increase at so rapid a rate, as to lead to occasional severe struggles for existence; and consequently to beneficial variations, whether in body or mind, being preserved, and injurious ones eliminated. Do the races or species of men, whichever term may be applied, encroach on and replace one another, so that some finally become extinct?"

and Darwin's answer to this was:

"We shall see that all these questions, as indeed is obvious in respect to most of them, must be answered in the affirmative, in the same manner as with the lower animals."

here is another quote by someone else that seems to have the same idea as Darwin:

"What we must fight for is to safeguard the existence and reproduction of our race and our people, the sustenance of our children and the purity of our blood..."

take a guess who this second quotee is...he was and probably always will be the most prominent racist in human history, Adolf Hitler. isn't it strange that Hitler shared the same ideas as Darwin? in my opinion, not really...it makes a lot of sense when you compare quotes, Hitler looks at himself as part of a dominant race, and those not part of that race as inferior, such as like animals. Darwin quotes that the causation is more dominant than most other "races" and that the most dominant race would eventually take over. now if these quotes are not the pinnacle of racism to you, there's something wrong with you, not your skin, just your mental health. It is my hope that this post has somewhat enlightened you, and next time you think that your better than someone, i hope you remember that your on the same train of thought as Darwin and Hitler, all men were created equal, whether black, white, red, yellow, tall, short, big, small, smart or lacking of knowledge, it is my goal to eliminate even those categories and just have one in their place: humans.... because thats what we all are, just one race, the human race.
